Remembrance of Anthony Genot at FNANO 2025

The ISNSCE community was sad to hear of the sudden death of our colleague Anthony Genot in April. Anthony’s career in DNA computation began with his D.Phil. in Oxford and continued at the CNRS Laboratory for Integrated Micro-Mechatronic Systems in Tokyo where he was Directeur de Recherche. His many important contributions to the field of DNA nanoscience include strand displacement mechanisms, reversible computation, droplet microfluidics, and molecular neural networks (see a selected set of papers below). We remembered him at FNANO 2025: Andrew Turberfield, Tom Ouldridge and Erik Winfree gave their personal appreciations of Anthony and of his outstanding and influential research.
